Eric I believe the most challenging questions posed to me were "What are you most passionate about?" As a follower of Jesus, my eyes need to be fixed on Him. When I look away from my goal, I easily get entangled in the lies from the enemy that there can be other things, yet good, that compete with my King. For example: Serving the poor is a great thing, and we are commanded in scripture to do so, but when it becomes the ultimate thing, even without me knowing it, it becomes an idol. All of my passions should lead me to enjoy God and love Him forever. Once I allow my passion to be THE thing, it gets in the way. But when I have a passion that leads me to love and serve Jesus, it is then a good thing. Serving the poor to serve Jesus is what we are called to do, and do it well. Thank you for the deeper thinking.
